Obvious reality Print E-mail

Here is a syllogism for the truth seekers.
Denying obvious reality is a form of insanity. Atheism denies obvious reality. Therefore, atheism is a form of insanity.
In the interest of the truth,

I hope the Rev is inocent and justice served. He posts his self righteous rants
right here on TRP.
Why am i no longer suprised when a clergyman steals or a Boy
Scout leader molests. or a politician cheats?? ughh..
what have we become???

Just so we are on the same page regarding truth.
To be true, a thing must be
quantifiable.
Logic is so logical. faith is not.
there is a place for both .
and a time.
dont be confused...

I have to wonder why one would use a syllogism to bolster a faith-based
opinion. Syllogisms are logic exercises, and logic and faith are
opposite side of the same coin.

By definition, "faith" is
when you believe in something despite having no supporting logic or
evidence.  Hence the expression, "you just have to take it on
faith."

So, in the interest of truth, it is faith that denies obvious reality. There is no physical evidence
or reasoned logic that can prove the existence of the Almighty, and yet,
the Faithful still believe, because that's *what it is* to be a person
of faith.

Therefore, either your syllogism is incorrect, or it is the
Faithful that suffer from a form of insanity.

I'm satisfied with
the notion that it's the former that is the case, and not the latter.

Tigers finally fall to Wildcats

When you have a 100-yard rusher, a 200-yard passer and gain a total of 459 yards, all while holding your opponent to 365 total yards, you would expect to win a football game. The St. James Tigers did just that last Friday night in Cuba, but came up on the short end of a 24-12 final. It was the Tigers first ever loss to the Wildcats in 11 years. (See Photo Gallery)

City should be commended for help

I wish to take this opportunity to thank the city council for helping the Tri-County Humane Society Shelter with funding. I personally know how hard it is to keep the no kill shelter operating, since I was on the board there for a long time.
