Richard Louis Clemans Richard Louis Clemans was born to Walter N. and Josephine (Liska) Clemans on October 4, 1925 in Ft. Worth, Texas and passed away at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the age of 86 years, 10 months, and 29 days. At the age of seven, the family moved to rural Boyd, Texas where he graduated from high school. Richard served in the military during World War II from 1942 to 1946. He attended Southern Methodist University and earned Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Divinity degrees. He served as Methodist Student Director at two colleges, as Minister of Christian Education at three churches, and as pastor of four churches living in Texas, Michigan and Missouri during this time. On June 12, 1949 he was united in marriage to Jeannette Evans and to this union four children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Josephine Clemans. He is survived by his wife, Jeannette Clemans of St. James, Missouri; three daughters, Brenda Catherine Miller of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Laura Jane McGibney of Lebanon, Illinois and Rebecca Louise Clemans of McLean, Virginia; and one son, David Charles Clemans of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri. |
