Elaine Skaggs
Elaine Skaggs of St. James, Missouri was born August 27, 1916 in St. Louis, Missouri to Arthur Charles and Elizabeth Klements Holman and passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010, at the age of 94 years.
On February 15, 1936, She was united in marriage to William Edwards Skaggs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Elizabeth Holman; her husband of 56 years, William; one son, David Wyman Skaggs; five brothers, John, Dan, Arthur, Sid and George Holman; two sisters, Virginia Kean and Rose Krewson; one granddaughter, Tina Skaggs.
She is survived by one son, Ed Skaggs and his wife Brenda of St. James, Missouri; one daughter, Alice Hart and her husband Gene of St. James, Missouri; one sister, Alberta Meeham Ginn of Arkansas; sister-in-law, Anna Holman; eight grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 2010 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with Mick Thrasher, Troy Hart and Glenn Skaggs officiating.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
Burial was in the family plot at the Hickory Grove Cemetery near Vichy.
