An 18-year-old Cuba driver was seriously injured Saturday afternoon when his truck struck a tree. According to a Missouri Highway Patrol report of the incident, Andrew R. McMillen, 18, of Cuba, was injured when his 1988 Dodge truck ran off the right side of the roadway on Bass Road, just south of Lindburg Road. McMillen’s truck went off the road and hit a fence and tree. He was reportedly not wearing his safety belt at the time of the accident. He was taken to St. John’s Hospital in St. Louis for medical treatment by Air Evac helicopter. The wreck occurred around 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7.
