30 business groups back plan to reduce costs, create jobs and protect taxpayers by strengthening Medicaid
Bringing the dollars Missourians send to Washington back to strengthen Medicaid will create jobs and grow the economy
JEFFERSON CITY - Last fall, Gov. Jay Nixon announced his plan to create jobs, protect taxpayers, and reduce costs for families and businesses by bringing the dollars Missourians send to Washington back to strengthen Medicaid in Missouri. Now, a total of thirty chambers of commerce, non-partisan business groups, and economic development organizations in every corner of the state have come out in support of seizing this opportunity to bring $5.7 billion back to Missouri and provide health insurance to 300,000 additional Missourians over the next three years – at no cost to the state.
