Football scrimmage will feature coaches versus players

Can’t teach an old coach new tricks? Come find out on December 7 at Hood Park as the Cuba Youth Football Association coaches take on the Steeleville Cardinal varsity football team in the first annual Charity Food Pantry Bowl!

Admission will be two canned food products per person, or feel free to empty your pantry of all your old canned food goods. It’s going to a great cause.

The old Wildcat coaches have been declawed, spayed and neutered by old age as they go against the younger, faster, and more athletic Cardinal football team, who just completed another successful season. However, the Wildcat coaches are optimistic they can hold their own against the Cardinals and have been practicing to put a respectable product on the field.

Kickoff will be at 2 p.m., so please come enjoy the festivities, follies, get a laugh or two—all the while supporting a great cause. All proceeds will go to support the local food pantry.
