Charity basketball game to take place March 14

On Friday, March 14 at 7 p.m. the Cuba Police Department will be taking on the Cuba Public Works Department. This is the first PD vs. PW charity basketball game.

"We did a charity football game this past year and it was a lot of fun," said David Minardi. "It was for a good cause and we all wanted to do it again. So we thought why not a basketball game."
The game will be held at the Cuba Middle School with admission being a canned food item or one dollar. All proceeds will be donated to the Cuba Food Pantry.
"We really would love to see a big turn out for this game because it’s for a good cause," said Minardi. "On top of that it should be pretty entertaining to watch us all run back and forth."
Public Works members will be wearing black and those participating are David Minardi, Randy Williams, Jimmy Happel, Chris Durham, AJ Harmon and Glen Shockley.
Members of the Cuba Police Department will be wearing white. Those participating are Mike Sherman, Doug Shelton, Robbie Yates, Jason Wilkerson, Dane Corbett, Nick Hutchenson and Coach Police Chief Paul Crow.
Come out and support your local law enforcement and public works employees as the battle it out on the court.
