Former CHS grad going to NCAA track nationals

CHS graduate Amber White has continued her track and field career at Missouri Southern State University, and her star continues to rise there.

White competed with her teammates at the 2014 MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships last weekend. Her second-place finish in the 400 meters (55.90) qualified her to compete at the NCAA Division 2 national track competition in North Carolina later this month. Hers was one of the top five 400 times in Missouri Southern school history and also qualified White for all-MIAA honors.

The Missouri Southern team finished second in its conference this year, behind only Lincoln University. The MSSU Lions scored 123.5 points, while Lincoln earned 153 team points.
