It’s time again for the annual Kiwanis Club pancake breakfast on Saturday, March 15. Kiwanis members will be cooking pancakes for the community at St. James Middle School from 6:30 a.m. until noon,
The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes pancakes and sausage along with choice of beverages that include hot coffee and tea, milk, and orange juice. Along with breakfast, guests will have the chance to purchase baked goods from the Golden Age Center.
Breakfast will also be accompanied by entertainment with three local bluegrass bands performing. Bands will perform beginning at 8 a.m.
Pancake Day is one of three annual fundraisers sponsored by the local Kiwanis Club to finance a growing list of community service programs throughout the year. Along with the Kiwanis Trivia Night and the Grape and Fall Festival raffle, Pancake Day has been a large fundraiser for the Kiwanis Club and allows them to conduct programs for the youth in the community including boys and girls basketball, volleyball, and tot-pack programs to feed children in St. James.
Tickets can be purchased from any Kiwanis member for $6 each, children 5 and under for free, or at the door on the day of the event.
