Veterans Home, businesses sponsoring fireworks again

Independence Day fireworks will be returning to St. James at the Missouri Veteran’s home. Sponsored jointly by the Veteran’s Assistance League and local businesses, the display will be a great opportunity to celebrate the Fourth of July with local residents and veterans.

Fireworks are made possible by the Assistance League, which contributed over half of the cost, and local businesses that help sponsor the event. Gold level sponsors include Phelps County Bank, Maries County Bank and the Tacony Vacuum Museum.
Silver level sponsors include the Golden Living Center, Hutcheson Ford, Town and Country Bank, Jenna Davis-Acar Real Estate, Inc., and Jane’s Fireworks. Bronze level sponsors include Sybill’s St. James, Perkin’s Lumber and the St. James Chamber of Commerce.
The fireworks display will begin at dusk on Friday, July 4, and residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, or something to sit on and enjoy another fun display in honor of the holiday.
“Please stop in and thank these businesses for their support of this great community event and make plans to attend this year,” said Jim Fleming, past president of the Chamber of Commerce.
