Coterie to host Fall Coffee Sept. 6

    Coterie of Missouri S&T will host its Fall Coffee on Saturday, September 6 at Christ Church Episcopal, located at 1000 N. Main St. in Rolla. The event will be held from 9-11 a.m. and gives those in the community an opportunity to find out more about Coterie of Missouri S&T, to sign up for interest groups, to catch up with friends and make new ones.


    Coterie of Missouri S&T is a university-based organization committed to providing a social network for Missouri S&T and the Rolla community.
    Coterie's purpose is to be of service to the university through the support of its members as well as providing scholarships to at least two Missouri S&T women each year.
    Coterie offers its members a way to get connected to the community through over 25 Interest Groups and several events throughout the year. Interest Groups are the heart of Coterie - ranging from monthly Book Clubs, Bunco, Film and Food, Outdoor Adventures, and German Conversation to Hiking Groups, Needlework, International Cooking, Tea and Topics, Wine Tasting, Walk and Talk, Playgroups and more.
    Events each year include a Poker Walk (Progressive Dinner in the Oak Knoll neighborhood,) Winter Wine Down (a relaxing event held at the S&T's Chancellor's residence,) St. Pat's Ball, a Spring Luncheon, and other social opportunities.
    The Coterie board of directors for the 2014-2015 year are Julie Kosbar, president; Martina Hahn-Baur, president-elect; Dilek Acar and Lina Madison, first vice presidents (programs); Jennifer Gilles, second vice president (membership), Linda Branson, third vice president (interest groups), Nancy Duncan, recording secretary; Fran McDaniel, corresponding secretary; Martha Prine Edwards, publicity and historian; Terry Higgins, treasurer; Karen Hogan, publications and newsletter; Jill Fahrenholtz, webmaster; Theresa McCarthy Brow, scholarship fund.
    Membership dues are $20 per year and membership is open to anyone in the Rolla community.
