The 2014 Meramec Regional Job Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10 from 1-4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall Exit 210 Hwy UU in Cuba.
Employers and job seekers have the opportunity to come together in Mid-September. Job seekers will be able to apply for a variety of year-round and seasonal jobs in one convenient location, while employers save time and money by contacting prospective workers in just a few short hours. Applicants of all ages are encouraged to attend… and it’s free to applicants!
Job seekers are reminded this is the golden opportunity to make a favorable first impression. Please be prepared to complete application forms on site and bring resumes if you have one. Attendees have the good fortune to meet employers that are hiring, obtain career information, establish contacts through networking, and identify career, internship, and seasonal employment prospects.
Missouri Employer Committee Chairperson Nancy Montgomery emphasizes, “The alliance offers a forum where employers can interact with individuals who are seeking full-time, part-time, internship, and seasonal opportunities.”

To truly serious applicants Montgomery gives this advice:
• Get Ready! Job Seekers should be prepared with copies of resumes’.
• Look your best! Dress appropriately for potential on-the-spot interviews. Be neat, clean, and well-groomed.
• Be attentive! Be available to speak with employers without the distractions of children, cell phones, etc. Leave your cell phone in the car!
• Be prepared! Applications to be completed on site; know your information or have with you
• Be available! Business representatives could be interviewing to fill positions immediately. Know your availability date.
Participating businesses range from medical (LPR, RN, Aides) to manufacturing, security to seasonal recreation industries; From management and supervisory positions, to customer service, industrial painters, truck drivers, engineers, operations manager, shipping/warehouse manager, administrative assistants, insurance agents, tech support technicians, inside/outside sales associates, construction/carpenters, secretarial, counselors, injection molding operators, CNC programmers, nursing, home-health aids, assembly, financial auditors, banking positions, mold setters, warehouse, material handlers, retail sales, quality control, mechanical type positions, machine operators, forklift operator & basic laborer positions, production employees and specialists; a wide variety of openings on all shifts have been filled through these events.
