Volleyball Lady Cards win district title

    The Steelville High School Lady Cardinals volleyball team won the Class 2, District 8 tournament in Cuba last week and then pushed one of the top-ranked teams in the state to three sets before losing in the first round of the state tournament on Saturday. The Lady Cardinals finished the season with a record of 18-5-2.

SMS boys sweep Viburnum, Bourbon

    The Steelville Middle School boys’ basketball teams earned four victories last week. The Cardinals swept Viburnum and Bourbon.

Marshall, Usher top all GVC runners

    The Steelville High School boys and girls both finished second in the Gasconade Valley Conference cross country meet, which was held last Friday in Belle. Two SHS runners, however, took the top spots in each race.

Post-season honors go to four Lady Cardinals

    Four Steelville High School softball players have earned post-season awards. Three of the Lady Cardinals were selected for both the all-conference and all-district softball teams.

Lady Cards sweep Blue Jays

    The Steelville High School Lady Cardinals volleyball teams hosted Viburnum for a Coaches vs. Cancer “Pink Night” of volleyball on October 13. The Lady Cardinals won both matches in three sets.
    The varsity Lady Cards defeated the Blue Jays 25-19, 21-25 and 25-20. That came after a 25-21, 19-25 and 25-12 JV victory for Steelville.
