Deadline approaches for families to sign up to Learn2 Camp in Missouri State Parks

Missouri State Parks is teaming up with The North Face Explore Your Parks Program this summer to teach families how to have an enjoyable and safe camping experience in its Learn2 Camp program. The application deadline is May 11 at 5 p.m. for the programs, which are held in June.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – For more than a million anglers in the Show-Me State, conservation makes Missouri a great place to fish, and the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) updated “Find MO Fish” free mobile app can help find them. The app has been improved for better and faster performance for Android mobile devices and iPhones and iPads.

First-week turkey harvest encouraging

JEFFERSON CITY–Relatively strong harvest numbers from the first week of spring turkey season are encouraging, but Resource Scientist Jason Isabelle says that harvest figures from the entire three weeks of spring turkey hunting will provide a more reliable indicator about the status of Missouri’s wild turkey population.

Annual Dillard Days Picnic will be held May 10

The public is invited to step back in time and experience an early 1900s picnic at Dillard Mill State Historic Site. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the annual Dillard Days Picnic will be held on Saturday, May 10, at Dillard Mill State Historic Site near Davisville. This free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
