Troop I aAnnounces July Fourth holiday arrests and crash satistics
Captain James W. Remillard, commanding officer of Troop I, announces the July Fourth holiday traffic crash and enforcement totals for the Troop I area, which consists of six counties in South Central Missouri. From July 3, 2014 through July 6, 2014, troopers participated in Operation C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort). During the peak travel periods on both July 3, 2014 and July 6, 2014, special enforcement operations also were conducted. These included the 20-Mile Trooper project on Interstate 44 and other projects on the secondary highways. There were zero fatal traffic crashes on highways covered by the 20-Mile Trooper project.

That’s where local charitable organizations step in to help, and nine groups who support children and families are getting a boost, thanks to grants from Mercy Clinic’s “Force for Good.”
