Wildcats pound Liberty 74-7

Sometimes it’s just your night and everything seems to go right. It did for the Cuba Wildcats at Liberty (Wentzville) High School last Friday, when they trounced the Eagles 74-7 in a one-sided affair. The Wildcats picked up their second win of the season—and their first road victory—while setting new school football records in total yardage and single game scoring. The Eagles dropped to 0-5 for the year.

Volleyball girls hitting their midseason stride

After an up and down start to the volleyball season, the varsity Lady Wildcats have really begun to gain some momentum at the middle section of their schedule. Around the time of the tournament hosted by Cuba on Sept. 13, the CHS girls started to pull together and play as a team. Things have been going strong for them ever since.

Eagles knock off Wildcats 41-24

The Brentwood Eagles improved their perfect record to 5-0 in handing Cuba their fourth loss of the 2014 season last week. Brentwood dominated most aspects of the game, including the 41-24 score, but the Cats played well against a formidable opponent.

Girls take second in Richland softball tournament

The Lady Wildcats took the second place trophy at the Richland girls softball tournament held on Saturday. Cuba knocked off Vienna and Richland but was shutout by the Crocker team, who won all three of their games in the tourney and finished in first place.


Girls win first meet at Vienna

CHS freshman Erykah Killeen finished first overall for the high school girls competing at the Eagle Invitational Cross Country Meet in Vienna on September 10. Killeen led a Cuba varsity girls squad that finished first among all teams competing.
