Council stands firm on returning UTV to Cowtown
Despite having their questions about a loaner vehicle from Cowtown USA answered by the owner of the business, the city council declined to accept the terms of the agreement, which means the utility task vehicle (UTV) goes back to Cowtown and not to the Cuba Police Department. The council decision was not unanimous.

Relay for Life raises over $40k
Hundreds of walkers came out to Hood Park on Friday, June 6 to participate in the Crawford County annual Relay for Life. Over 70 cancer survivors participated in the event, including Caren Meade, who overcame near impossible odds with her battle with cancer. Meade was the Relay for Life Hero of Hope, an honor given to a person picked by the relay committee that goes above and beyond for other people before themselves.
Much work has gone into Paul Bryan Field improvements
Years spent improving Paul Bryan Field and its facilities finally yielded the results that many had been hoping for, as the Cuba Wildcats were able to host the 2014 district baseball tournament. Countless hours of volunteer labor and donated funds and materials went into the project, which has resulted in the Cuba school district having a baseball facility that other schools in the conference surely must envy.
