Seventh grade girls playing well this season

The Cuba Middle School seventh grade girls started out their season with a first place finish in the Steelville Tournament. They haven’t slowed down much since then.

Cardinals gets big wins over Owensville, Cuba

    The Steelville High School varsity boys’ basketball team earned a pair of victories last week over two of their northern rivals. The Cardinals got a win in Owensville and earned an important conference victory over Cuba.

Lady Cardinals fall to Licking, get win in Caledonia - PHOTO GALLERY

    The Steelville High School girls’ basketball teams played a pair of non-conference games last week, taking on Licking and Valley. The varsity girls lost to Licking at home, but got a win on the road in Caledonia.

Cards take third at Owensville tourney

    The Steelville High School varsity boys’ basketball team won two of three games in last week’s Owensville tournament. After dropping their opening-round game to Sullivan by just one point, the Cardinals beat Owensville and Linn to take consolation and improve their record to 11-3.
