SMS girls close out regular season

    The Steelville Middle School girls’ basketball teams took on a trio of Gasconade Valley Conference opponents last week. The Lady Cardinals were in action against Bland, Cuba and Bourbon.

Lady Tigers win Fatima tournament

    Two Lady Tigers— Alexis Uffmann and Ashlee Marlatt—made the all-tournament team as the Lady Tigers took first at the 29th Annual Fatima Blue and Gold Tournament last Friday, defeating Owensville 71-55. The hopes of a rematch from last year’s district championship game between state ranked No. 1 St. James and state ranked No. 4 Fatima were crushed when Owensville overcame Fatima 75-74 in the semi-finals.

Byfield headed to CMU

    John F. Hodge High School senior Richard Byfield has signed a letter of intent to join the Central Methodist University track team. He plans on running at least the 400m hurtles and the 4x4 relay and is going to try out to be in the decathlon.

Tigers get wins over Cuba and Laquey - PHOTO GALLERY

    The St. James varsity boys’ basketball team defeated both its opponents last week to bring its record to 5-7 on the season headed into this week’s St. James tournament. The junior varsity Tigers also got two wins.
