Holland leads track team at Hermann

    The Cuba High School varsity Lady Wildcats finished fourth at a 12-team track meet held in Hermann on April 24. The boys came in ninth.

Baseball team gets two road wins

Cuba baseball spent last week on the road, after a scheduled home game was moved to Desloge at the last minute due to wet field conditions. But that didn’t deter the varsity Wildcats from their winning ways. Cuba picked up wins against both St. Clair and North County as they moved to a 6-1 record on the season.

Wildcats get walk-off win against Tigers

Ryan Bouse drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning, as the Cuba Wildcats defeated the Houston Tigers 8-7 at home last week.

Thompson strikes out 11 in win

Taylor Thompson looked to be in full control of his pitches in a 6-1 victory over the Steelville Cardinals last week. Thompson got the start for Cuba and went the full seven innings for the win, striking out 11 Cardinals along the way.

Baseball Cardinals earn win over Bourbon

    The Steelville Cardinals baseball team hosted St. James on May 1, and couldn’t find enough runs to beat the Tigers, losing 9-5.
