‘Grease’ to be performed at S&T

    More than 60 students, community members, faculty and staff have been working for the last two months to prepare for the spring 2014 production of the musical “Grease,” which will be performed at Missouri University of Science and Technology in April.

Missouri State Fair Pepsi Grandstand lineup announced

(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.) – The Missouri State Fair will once again host outstanding entertainment in the Pepsi Grandstand, Director of Agriculture Richard Fordyce announced today in conjunction with Fair Director Mark Wolfe. For the 112th Fair, the Pepsi Grandstand will feature eight music shows and three motorsports events. The concerts include performances by Jake Owen, Sara Evans, Joan Jett and MercyMe.

‘Woodystock’ in Steelville will pay tribute to Woody Guthrie

    Legendary folk musician and songwriter Woody Guthrie will be paid tribute throughout the month of April as the Steelville Arts Council celebrates with the Woodystock folk festival every Saturday night at Gallery Zeke.

SH-BOOM coming to Cuba

    Ticket are selling briskly for SH-BOOM, The Final Tour, on Saturday, April 5, 2014!  The Cuba Arts Council will be bringing back this ever popular musical group,  that will be retiring at the end of this year, so this may be your last time to see them in this area!  Come party, dance, and sing the night away with them at the Knights of Columbus Hall, located at Highway UU and Route 66.  Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., and the music will begin at 8 p.m.  There will be a Cash Only Bar available, and hot dogs, snacks, and soft drinks will be available for sale.
