Cuba High School will be host site for Meet the Candidates Night on July 24

The Crawford County Farm Bureau and Crawford County Extension Council will host at Meet the Candidates Night in July in an effort to better acquaint voters with the candidates that are running in the August primaries.

Spyders are invading area later this month

    World-class motorcycle builder Can Am and Cowtown USA will host a four-day Spyder bike event in Cuba June 19-22. Between 150 to 300 bikers are projected to attend the event.

Applications being taken for replacement on Cuba R-2 School Board

Due to the resignation of Justin McCullough, who has moved outside the school district, the Crawford County R-2 School Board is currently seeking applications for a member to take McCullough’s seat and fulfill the remainder of his unexpired term of office.

Burglar arrested on field during district baseball game

Stahl charged with burglarizing home, damaging property, and resisting arrest

Fans of high school baseball sure got their money’s worth at this year’s district playoffs. Not only did the Cuba Wildcats win the district tournament for a fourth straight year, but the district semifinals played at Paul Bryan Field featured some unexpected between-innings entertainment when police chased a man onto the field and apprehended him in the outfield grass.

Cuba School Board approves bid for telephone upgrades

You should expect your phone calls to administrators or teachers at the Cuba School District to actually go through to them next year. The R-2 Board of Education approved a bid from Fidelity Communications last week to upgrade the telephone system on the district campus, which should significantly improve call service and performance.
