The St. James Police Department has found a missing teen after an endangered person advisory was issued over the weekend. Alexis Hornage, age 16, was reported missing after last being seen on July 25 near 320 Parker Lane.

Local siblings compete at National Junior High Rodeo
Ciera and Colton Hamilton competed in the National Junior High Rodeo in Des Moines, Iowa, recently. The brother and sister combo faced tough competition, but had a great opportunity to join one of the top rodeo competitions in the nation from June 22 through June 29.
On August 23, an organization called Change This World (CTW) will be at the St. James Community Hall in Nelson Hart Park to pack 50,000 meals. Beginning at 9 a.m., volunteers from the community will join together to package balanced meals for those suffering from hunger around the world.
Veterans Home administrator leaving for St. Louis
Missouri Veterans Home Administrator Mark Fontana will be leaving the facility on August 1, when he will transfer to the St. Louis Veterans Home in the same position. After two years serving in St. James, Fontana has been great for the facility, with many accomplishments, including the addition of the BBQ Bivouac last year. Kathy Haynes, who has been a member of the facilities staff for many years, will replace Fontana.
