Couple arrested for allegedly growing pot
Law enforcement agencies throughout the county were participating in an Arrest Warrant Round-up today. While serving arrest warrants in the 31000 block of Private Drive 6265 in Edgar Springs, Missouri Officer’s located the Kasprzaks. While serving the arrest warrants for the Manufacture of Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, Officers became suspicious of activities inside the residence.
Phelps County Clerk Carol Bennett has announced that registered Phelps County voters that absentee ballots for the August 5 Primary Election are now available in the County Clerk’s Office.
It is important that all communities are prepared to respond Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) incidents. Rural first responders in the Rolla, Missouri area will be able to learn more about CBRNE response at a FREE Department of Homeland Security (DHS)-certified course delivered by the Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium (RDPC).
Meeting set to discuss outer road project
During the week of June 12, Phelps County commissioners:
• Received notice from Preston Kramer, Missouri Department of Transportation, of a meeting to be held on June 24 to discuss the Northwye Outer Road project.

Phelps County residents who are nearing retirement age can increase their lifetime income if they can wait a bit to start drawing Social Security benefits.
