City plans on putting use tax on November ballot

    A use tax of two percent is being considered for the November ballot in St. James. The city is looking to pass a ballot measure that puts a sales tax on mail order and online orders from companies which have a warehouse in Missouri. Revenues generated through the tax would help fund the police department, would help establish animal control, and would benefit streets and provide for other needs.
