City seeing improvements made to Old Route 66

Cuba is getting new pavement work on Old Route 66 all the way through town. With the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) making road repairs to sections of the old highway both east and west of the city limits this summer, as well as a portion of the byway inside the city limits that is state-maintained, city leaders decided to go ahead and pave their section to keep the entire roadway improved for vehicle traffic.

Fall Cleanup in Cuba goes Sept. 16 - 27 for city residents

The city of Cuba will host its annual Fall Cleanup event through Friday, September 27 at the Cuba Animal Control shelter parking lot in the South Industrial Park. The city is providing a large roll-off dumpster for citizens living inside the city limits to use for dumping their unwanted household items.

Your Community Cares Rural Health Coalition hosting ‘Opioids and the Workforce’ conference

    An “Opioids and the Workforce” conference will be held in September by the Your Community Cares Rural Health Coalition. The conference is scheduled for September 24 in Cuba, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Wildcat Pride Night was held at the Cuba High School parking lot in the hours leading up the football kickoff between the Cuba Wildcats and visiting Houston Tigers last Friday evening. The pregame tailgate party offered fans and families a chance to socialize and get their game faces on before the home football opener for the varsity Cats.
