Apply to speak at Missouri S&T’S fourth TEDx Talk in April

    Speaker applications are open for the TEDx event on the Missouri University of Science and Technology campus this spring.
    Missouri S&T will host TEDxMissouriS&T on Thursday, April 23, 2020, in Leach Theatre, and its organizing committee is looking for presenters. Anyone with a topic relating to the theme “Make it happen” can apply to speak at the event. The deadline to submit an application is Thursday, Oct. 31.

Free beginner’s quilt class offered by Piece and Plenty Quilt Guild

    The Piece and Plenty Quilt Guild will host their Ozark Festival of Quilted Show October 5 and 6 at the Rolla Middle School, located at 1111 Soeset Rd., Rolla, Missouri. Doors open at 9 a.m. on Saturday until 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Team Remember Me to hold Alzheimer’s fundraiser

    Team Remember Me, a local volunteer group for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, will be holding a Dine n’ Donate night at the Rolla Colton’s Steakhouse & Grill, located at 1675 North Bishop, on Tuesday, September 17 from 4 to 9 p.m. Anyone who purchases dinner during the event will have a portion of the cost of their meal go towards the Walk to End Alzheimer’s organization.
