John Scarff Hornung of Cedar Hill, Missouri was born on January 6, 1940 in Plainfield, New Jersey on January 6, 1940 to Carl and Virginia Scarff Hornung and passed away on June 28, 2019 at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 25 days of age.
He was united in marriage to Melba Roy.
He and his parents and siblings moved to Skaneateles, New York when he was in high school and then after high school he attended Auburn and Syracuse University.
After college he moved back to New Jersey and worked as a Finance Manager.
He was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War.
After moving to St. Louis, Missouri he started his own company Medical Commercial Audit which is now operated by his daughter Julie Repa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Virginia Hornung; brother, Carl; and his twin, Paul.
He is survived by his wife, Melba Roy Hornung of 50 years; daughter, Julie Repa and fiancé Darrel Meiser; two grandsons, Brandon and Bryce Repa and their father Keith Repa; sister, Dorothy Akers and husband Ryan; brother, Michael; sisters-in-law, Patti, Betty and Janet; other relatives and friends.
Burial of ashes will be near his favorite lake in up-state New York.
