Karen Ruth Pryor of St. James, Missouri was born in Reynolds County, Missouri on February 5, 1952 to Oather and Maye Cowin and passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the age of 67 years.
She married Wayne Pryor on June 25, 1968.
Karen loved her family and was ecstatic when the grandchildren came along. She loved her games shows, and home improvement shows that were on TV. She enjoyed cooking and getting her family together for a meal at her home.
She also liked to sew, a craft she learned from her days sewing at the factories. Karen had a funny and witty personality, she was good with people, a people pleaser and caretaker. She always thought that the most important role as the matriarch of her family was to make sure her family was good, happy and knew how much she loved them all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oather and Maye Cowin; and brothers, Richard and Bobby Cowin.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Pryor; children, Ron Pryor of St. James, Missouri and Stace Pryor and spouse Jodie of Salem, Missouri; grandchildren, Dana, Dillon, Austin, Storm, Mythias, Brandon, Kiara, Angel, Adrianna, Elizabeth and Karen; great grandchildren, Gabriel Gunner Alura, Adilynn and Braxton; 12 siblings; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 1-2 p.m. at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri.
Memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri with Pastor Paul Davis officiating.
