Still time to help with shoe boxes

We are fast approaching the week for collection of Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. You still have time to prepare a box or more to be collected the week of November 18-22. There are various churches in the area that will be collecting locations for you to drop of boxes for yourself or a church; a list of these was published in this paper a few weeks ago! Or you can go to samaritanspurse.org/OCC for a list of locations!

Please be in prayer for the boxes as they head to the collection centers and then out to the many countries around the world. These go to children who may have never even received a gift much less having been told that they are loved unconditionally by the Lord. If you were able to attend any of our workshops with guest speakers (some of whom were actual shoe box recipients in the past). I am sure you are totally inspired to be involved in the process.
Go to the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child webpage to get a list of things allowed and not allowed in the boxes. I learned a new thing this year about sending a length of clothesline and clothespins. We are spoiled with dryers in this country! I am learning to “think outside the box!”
