Martha Katherine Duvall of Sullivan, Missouri was born March 5, 1922 in Stonefort, Illinois to George and Edith Lebo Duvall and passed away Friday, November 29, 2019 at the age of 97 years, 8 months and 24 days.
Martha was employed at Brown Shoe Company and in Healthcare for a number of years, but mainly serving as a pastor in various churches in Stonefort, Illinois and areas in Missouri. She had attended Center Ridge Pentecostal Church for a few years before her health declined. She was born a server of the Lord who was always there to help others such as taking them to their doctors or however she could assist. Martha’s mission was to spread God’s word wherever she was.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edith Duvall; four brothers, Lowell, Harold, James and Bill Duvall; and one sister, Bessie Duvall.
She is survived by dear friends, Bonnie and Vernon “Sonny” Lamkey of Bourbon, Missouri; one niece, Rose Frothingham; two great nieces, Gail Frothingham and Delores Hathaway; one great nephew, Brad Frothingham; sisters and brothers in Christ, Pastors, Harrison and Shirley Brown and Congregation of Center Ridge Church in Cherryville, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Pea Ridge Pentecostal Church in Pea Ridge, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Pea Ridge Pentecostal Church with Pastor Harrison Brown officiating and Pastor Floyd Starks reading the obituary. Special music of “When He Calls Me I’ll Fly Away” and “Look For Me” was sung and played by Patsy Payne and Liz Bridgeman. Other music of a medley of songs was sung by Bob and Carol Coleman.
Committal prayer and interment were in the Reedville Cemetery, Sullivan, Missouri.
