Calvin Monroe Studdard of Sullivan, Missouri was born on February 1, 1958 in Cuba, Missouri to Harold and Nellie Loraine (Gruver) Studdard and passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 at the age of 61 years.
He married Sharon Harris on August 15, 1981.
Calvin was known as a jack of all trades who could fix anything. He worked at various jobs, including a sawyer, mechanic, handyman, fence builder and lawncare man. Calvin was a Pea Ridge country boy who loved the outdoors and didn’t really belong in the modern world. He enjoyed deer, squirrel and mushroom hunting, catfishing, gardening and digging roots.
Calvin passed away just four days after his mother, Nellie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Nellie Studdard.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Studdard; two children, Clarisa Hulsey and husband Aron of Sullivan, Missouri and Crista Parker and husband Ronald of Sullivan, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Christian, Scarlett, Crimson, Samuel, Sydney, Aribella and Asher; four brothers, Harold Studdard Jr. and friend Diana of Sullivan, Missouri, Herman Studdard and wife Mary of Sullivan, Missouri, Roger Studdard and wife Vickie of Sullivan, Missouri and Randy Studdard and wife Kathy of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; his beloved Chihuahua, Sophie; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the Hill Cemetery in Bourbon, Missouri officiated by Pastor Leroy Wiese.
