Butch Hunter of Sullivan, Missouri was born on June 28, 1968 to Lana (Atkins) Sutfin in Washington, Missouri and passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident at the age of 51 years.
He was raised in the Grubville Dittmer area and graduated from St. Clair High School.
Butch was employed most of his life in the construction trade. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. An avid outdoorsman, Butch enjoyed hunting, collecting rocks, flower gardening and collecting scrap metal.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Stacy Hunter.
He is survived by four children, Jarrod Hunter (Brandi Hobson) of Sullivan, Missouri, Joshua Hunter (Chazeray Hulsey) of Bourbon, Missouri, Alecialinn Hunter (Joshua Smith) of Gerald, Missouri and Jonah Hunter (Aryn Stevens) of Bourbon, Missouri; mother, Lana Sutfin and husband Lou of Stanton, Missouri; grandmother, Joan Atkins; 13 grandchildren, Haley and Brock Hobson, Lucas, Easton and Odin Hunter, Kale and Korielle Hulsey, Izarra, Izabella, Kaelinn, Kaiden and Kinsley Smith and Avery Stevens; two brothers, Trevis Sutfin and Nick Hunter and wife Lisa; one sister, Jennifer Dixon and husband Aaron of Union, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 9-11 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Matt Dudley officiating.
