    Thomas Joe Rinehart of St. James, Missouri was born February 8, 1932 at Hinkle, Missouri to Herschel Ezro and Augusta Matilda Skouby Rinehart and passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the age of 87 years.

    On May 31, 1952 at Salem, Arkansas he married Mary Belle Cox. She passed away on May 26, 2016.
    He lead by example for his family and those around him.  He accepted Christ at an early age and attended Oak Grove Church of Christ. He attended Oak Grove School and graduated from John F. Hodge High School.  He served as Elder of St James Church of Christ and attended services a week before his passing.  Tom worked for the St. James Post Office for many years serving as assistance to the Post Master, and in later years he worked for the City of St. James, Missouri.
    He is survived by son, Robert Rinehart and wife Mary of St. James, Missouri; daughters, Marilyn Rhew and husband Mike of Owasso, Michigan, Barbara Soper and husband Neil of St. James, Missouri and Vicki Gorman and husband John of St. James, Missouri; six grandchildren, Shannon, Ben, Sarah, Galena, Emily and Erin; six great grandchildren, Gabe, Caleb, Morgan, Noah, Beth and Joel; brothers, Martin Rinehart and wife Patty of Rolla, Missouri and James Rinehart of St. James, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Betty Rinehart of St. James, Missouri, Kathleen Rinehart of Cuba, Missouri and Marlene Elrod and husband Lawrence of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Misosuri with Lynn Huggins officiating.
    Pallbearers will be Shannon Soper, Ben Rhew, Gabe Soper, Marshall McDaniel, Grady Huggins and Nate Cook. Honorary pallbearers will be Dick Branstetter, Randy Rinehart and Caleb McDaniel.
    Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in rural St. James, Missouri.
    Arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
