To know the direction art is heading in the twenty-first century, just watch what college and university art students are creating. The Steelville Arts Council is presenting the seventh annual exhibition of art from students who are currently attending colleges and universities at Gallery Zeke throughout the month of March.
With a wide diversity in media and approach, this exhibition features paintings, drawings, prints and more, created by the next generation of people who will be making art their careers and lifelong pursuits. This art show is always an imaginative, eye-opening and entertaining event.
The exhibit is currently open and will be available to view through Saturday, April 4. Gallery Zeke is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Admission to the show is free. Meet the artists at a closing reception on the final day of the show, April 4 between 1 and 4 p.m.
Gallery Zeke is located at 106 East Main Street in Steelville. Visit the Gallery Zeke Facebook page or the arts council’s webpage at www.steelvilleartscouncil.org for more information.
