Thomas Leonard Olsen of Rolla, Missouri was born in Vallejo, California on July 20, 1942 to Thomas R. Olsen and Betty (Green) Olsen Wells and passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the age of 78 years.
On February 18, 1984 he married Treasa (Dunakey) Olsen.
Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam then served with the National Guard totaling 31 years of service.
He was a life member of the VFW and served as commander of both the Rolla and St. James, Missouri Posts for several years. He was also a life member of the American Legion.
He enjoyed his employment as a talented auto body repair technician having worked many years for both Ford and Chevrolet dealerships in St. James and Rolla, Missouri. Tom was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Rolla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Olsen and Betty Olsen Wells; and two sisters, Gale and Sandy.
He is survived by his wife, Treasa Olsen of Rolla, Missouri; one sister, Judy Carothers of Boise, Idaho; one grandson, Kenneth Olsen of Colorado; other relatives and friends.
Committal service held at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery near Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, with full military honors, and will be announced and published at a later date.
