Chamber holding fireworks display for July 4 celebration

The St. James Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual July 4 fireworks display next Monday night beginning at 9:20 p.m. Fireworks will be shot from the St. James Middle School and there will be several viewing areas for the community to park during the display.

There will be no parking allowed on the middle school grounds, but spectators can watch from Hutcheson Ford, the First Assembly of God parking lot, the First Church of God parking lot, the Tourist Information Center, and other outdoors locations.

Fireworks are made possible through donations given by the community. As of June 27, Gold Sponsors include The James Foundation, Hutcheson Ford, St. James Kiwanis Club, St. James Auto & Truck Parts, H&R Block, Town & Country Bank, Phelps County Bank, and Grellner.

Silver Sponsors include First Church of God, McDonald’s, First Assembly of God, Iron Hill Armory, Mitchell Clinic, First Baptist Church, Pepsi-Cola, Alexander Construction, St. James Public House, St. James Winery, Spencer Manor, and Inkollective.

Bronze Sponsors include Beth Garner, Marsha Wayman, Sherry Swanson, and Forest City Health Mart.

The Chamber encourages the community to bring a chair or blanket and set up at viewing locations. The event is free to everyone.
