ECC graduation rate continues to rise

    In the past two years, East Central College’s graduation rate has climbed by 14 percent.
    The ECC graduation rate was 35 percent in 2019, thanks to a 6 percent boost over the 2018 rate. In addition, there was an 8 percent increase from 2017 to 2018.

ECC transfer students perform well at Mizzou

    Students who transfer from East Central College to the University of Missouri-Columbia (MU) are having great academic success.
    According to data provided by MU, in 2017, ECC transfer students at Mizzou had an average grade point average of 3.59 after a full academic year, and in the 2018 fall semester the GPA was 3.62 after a full year. In addition, 13 of the 17 ECC transfers to MU in the 2019 fall semester had a GPA above 3.00.

Electronics, appliances and tires collection set for May 16 in Salem

    A special waste collection for residential and farm electronics, appliances and tires will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 16 in the Salem construction parking lot at the corner of third and grand.
