Steelville AD offers thoughts to Cardinals after spring sports canceled

    With the announcement on April 9 by the governor that schools would remain closed for the reminder of the academic year also came the realization to student athletes that spring sports would not return. Steelville High School Athletic Josh Booker Harlan offered some heartfelt words to all the Cardinals who never made it on the field this spring.

Steelville schools will have new food service provider

    At a special meeting on April 1, the Steelville School District Board of Education voted unanimously to extend a new food service contract to Fresh Ideas. Pending approval from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), they will officially take over the program in July.

Steelville man charged with brandishing a shotgun

    A Steelville man stands charged with unlawful possession of a firearm on March 27. Tylor Scott DeRennaux, 24, was charged with the class D felony following an investigation into the incident by Steelville police.
