The St. James Kiwanis Club are raffling off a kayak and tickets are on sale now. This is the second year the kayak raffle has been held, with the club seeing great success last year as a first-time fundraiser.

The Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) Rural Opioid Initiative in partnership with Mid-MO Addiction Awareness Group (MAAG) will host an opioid use disorder awareness walk in St. James on Saturday, August 1, beginning at 10 a.m.
The Friends of the Library volunteer organization announced this week the annual picnic fundraiser for the facility has been canceled this year. The event was scheduled for September 19.
Tiger Shark Waterpark in St. James is reducing the number of people allowed in the facility as area COVID-19 cases rise. For the safety of patrons, the number allowed inside the pool has been reduced from 200 to 130 for now.
On Monday, Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft announced the James Memorial Public Library has been awarded a grant of $6,942 in coronavirus relief funding. The money will be used to help the library offer additional technology needs to the community.
