Bourbon High School announced on October 2 that all of its volleyball games have been canceled through October 14 due to the coronavirus. The Lady Warhawks are planning to resume play at home on October 15 against Dixon. That will be Bourbon’s annual Pink Out night.
The Cuba High School volleyball teams hit the road for a pair of matches last week, but came home with just one victory in four matches. The varsity fell to both St. James and Steelville.
With the softball season quickly winding down, the Cuba High School Lady Wildcats had four games scheduled last week, but Hermann and Rolla both had to cancel due to the coronavirus. Cuba did play Jefferson and Dixon, earning one victory.
Cuba freshman Kaylee Fulliam won her second straight varsity girls race at the St. James Invitational Cross Country Meet on September 30. Fulliam also recently took first at the Belle Invitational.
St. Clair may not be as physically large as Bulldog squads of the past. But they seemingly can run the option game in their sleep, as the St. James High School football team found out Friday, Oct. 2.
The St. James Middle School eighth-grade girls’ basketball team has surged from the gate to open the season 4-0, including a championship performance in the Washington Tournament.
