Decker looks like real deal to Tigers, 48-0

Owensville junior quarterback Brendon Decker may be the real deal this fall. At least that’s probably what the St. James High School football squad is thinking.
    Decker completed 11-of-16 passes for 182 yards and four touchdowns to power the Dutchmen to a 48-0 Four Rivers Conference victory over St. James Friday, Sept. 18 at Owensville.

Lady Tigers second in Cuba Tournament

    Running its overall record to 9-1, the St. James High School volleyball team placed second in the Cuba Tournament Saturday, Sept. 19.
    In tourney pool play St. James swept past both Bourbon 25-16, 25-11 and Union 25-19, 25-22 to enter into bracket play unbeaten.

    Wildcats and Warhawks cross country runners were busy last week with a pair of meets. The teams competed in Bourbon on September 14 and traveled to Steelville on September 17.

    The Cuba High School varsity football team got its offense back on track last Friday, but just couldn’t score enough to keep up with a high-powered Park Hills Central team. Cuba, now 2-2, will host a winless St. James team this week.

    It was the same old story with, unfortunately for the St. James Tigers, the same result.
    St. James High School football head coach Josh Rodriguez is as tired of saying it is everyone is of hearing it but the Tigers have played well enough defensively to be 3-0, only to have a long current losing skid to show for it.
