ECC to offer SLA at no cost this year

    East Central College will once again hold its Summer Learning Academy (SLA) and this year there is no cost to participate.

Workshop to be held at Davisville cattle farm on Friday, June 25

    University of Missouri Extension offers a workshop to help producers  learn how to use native, warm-season grasses to improve grazing and wildlife systems.
    The in-person workshop will be 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 25, at the S&R Cattle Farm in Davisville, according to MU Extension agronomy field specialist Gatlin Bunton.

USDA awards new Partnership Projects in Missouri to help mitigate climate change and protect natural resources while supporting America’s producers

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced it is investing $330 million in 85 locally driven, public-private partnerships to address climate change, improve the nation’s water quality, combat drought, enhance soil health, support wildlife habitat and protect agricultural viability, including 4 projects in Missouri. Projects are awarded through the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP).
