Some area restaurants doing carryout and delivery, others closed

    While restaurants can be open as essential businesses during the ongoing pandemic, social distancing orders have meant all have had to close their dining rooms. For locally owned dining establishments, that has led many to offer carryout and delivery service while others have opted to temporarily close.

Local pharmacy group continues to provide pharmacy services

    Steelville Drug, a member of the Sinks Pharmacy group that also includes Sinks Pharmacy, Medley Pharmacy, and Towne Pharmacy, recently released information about pharmacy operations during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. The release noted, even in a global pandemic, pharmacies are one of the only places that will remain open, although operations may look a little different during this time.

Area grocery stores taking steps to combat coronavirus

    Area grocery stores are remaining open to give residents access to essential food and household items, but all are taking steps to keep their facilities clean and customers and employees safe from the coronavirus. Stores are taking new measures to limit the number of customers allowed inside, sanitized properly, and offer seniors a chance to safely shop.

The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) will offer some relief to small businesses in Missouri as it launches today, Friday, April 3. The Missouri Bankers Association and the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry ask for patience from the public as the program begins.
