City hiring two police officers

    During its February 2 meeting, the Cuba City Council approved a motion to hire two police officers. A discussion was also held about raising the starting pay for the Police Department so it would be more competitive with other area agencies when trying to fill vacancies.

Police find 20 pounds of pot during I-44 traffic stop

    Two out-of-state residents have been charged with felonies in Crawford County after local law enforcement discovered approximately 20 pounds of marijuana and other related drug items in their rental van on Interstate 44 on January 14.

COVID-19 vaccinations given in Cuba

Sink’s Pharmacy, which operates Towne Pharmacy in Cuba, Steelville Drug, Sinks Pharmacy in Bourbon, and numerous other area locations, began administering COVID-19 vaccinations in the area last week, starting with a shot clinic at Golden Echoes in Steelville on Friday.
