Phelps County 4-H recognition ceremony held in St. James

The 4-H clubs of Phelps County held their annual Recognition Ceremony Sunday afternoon, October 20, at the St. James Middle School. This event recognizes 4-H members and volunteers who have done outstanding work during the past year. This year’s event was hosted by Country Kids 4-H and Soaring Eagles 4-H Clubs.

Grant workshop is being held by MAC

    Join the Missouri Arts Council on Tuesday, October 29 for their annual Grant Information Workshop in Rolla. The free two-hour workshop covers essential information on Missouri Arts Council grants, both Annual and Express (except for Arts Education), for Fiscal Year 2021 (July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021).

Natural Resources classes and network opportunities aimed at women in Phelps County

Studies show that women landowners that are the primary decision maker has doubled from 2006 to 2013, says University of Missouri Extension natural resources field specialist, Sarah Havens.  “These women make decisions for over 44 million acres of family forestland nationwide,” Havens says.

Public invited to participate in community events during Engagement Week at S&T

    Community members are invited to join in the celebration of the University of Missouri System’s inaugural Engagement Week October 21-25. Missouri University of Science and Technology will host three live-stream presentations during the week that focus on the university’s commitment to local outreach.
